SOLID WOOD
- Solid wood is a natural product and, as a natural product, no two boards are exactly the same
- Wood grain, natural colouring and natural markings all add to the character of a solid wood piece
- Products made with ambrosia maple will have natural holes scattered across the top of the wood surface. As these are natural holes, their location and quantities will vary from piece to piece. These holes can appear as small dots or as lines in the surface. We cannot request the amount of holes or their locations.
- If you choose a rustic or distressed finish such as mill-sawn (rough cut), every board is natural and no two tables will be exactly the same. We cannot choose how many saw marks there will be or the shape of the cuts. On rustic finishes, small gouges, indentations, surface cracks, open grain (which feels rougher to the touch) and undulations in the surface will be present on your table, adding character and distinction to each piece.
- Stain colour can vary slightly from product to product and because it is applied on natural wood, it can have variation even on a single item because the wood grain contains various colours.
UPHOLSTERY
- Fabric dye lots can vary from the samples in store
- Fabric pilling is natural for all fabrics, even high quality fabrics, and is caused when fibres come loose from friction. Some fabrics have more pilling than others. You can remove fabric pilling with a fabric shaver.
- Foam seats will always feel firmer upon delivery. They will break in during the first few weeks after delivery with use
- Flipping and alternating your seat and back cushions regularly is recommended and will help keep them looking fresh
- Fluffing back cushions like you fluff your toss pillows from time to time is also recommended
- If you have purchased upholstery with feathers, you will see feathers poke through from time to time just as you would with a feather duvet or jacket • If you have feather wrapped seat cushions, it is also recommended that you flip and fluff them to keep them looking fresh.
- It is recommended that you vacuum your upholstery regularly only using an upholstery specific vacuum and that you spot clean and steam clean as needed.
